Welcome to CAFC newly designed website!
Whether you are a current CAFC member, a prospective member, or one of our many public safety stakeholders, we trust the information provided in our website will provide you with a better understanding of the important role CAFC plays relative to the safety and security of all Canadians.
Working collaboratively with a multitude of organizations and governmental departments, the CAFC have been advocates for improvements to fire protection and technology for over 100 years. Our membership is as diversified as the varying fire protection needs of our great country and that same diversity serves as one of the many strengths of the CAFC.
With a Board of Directors comprised of some of the finest fire service leaders in the country and
representing every province and territory, the CAFC is well positioned to serve as the voice of the
Canadian Fire Service. Whether advocating for tax relief for volunteer firefighters, pursuing changes to
the National Building Codes (NBC) so as to better protect firefighters when buildings are impacted by
fire, or working with the Government of Canada and industry to achieve interoperability among first
responders, the CAFC is committed to advancing the safety and security interests of our citizens and our
firefighters.
It is my sincere hope that you will take a few minutes to acquaint yourself with our website and gain a
broader understanding of our priorities, our corporate partnerships and the many benefits of being a
