Sprinkler Survey

Many of Canada’s Fire Chiefs have long been on the record in support of sprinklers in Canada.

Why? The evidence is clear. Sprinklers save lives. A fire starts; a sprinkler goes off. No one gets hurt.

If that’s the case, why aren’t sprinklers in every new residential construction?

One problem is the burden of cost often borne by municipalities or by members of industry, many of whom are already struggling.

While we believe in sprinklers, we also care about our partners.

Fortunately, we don’t need to choose between safety and economy.

Experience shows that with appropriate planning, incentives can be aligned to enable sprinklering in Canada.

What are these incentives and how can they be used?

This is the topic of this survey intended for all fire chiefs, regions, municipalities, and members of industry.

The survey should only take 10 minutes to complete. Your responses are confidential and you will receive a copy of the final report.

Are you ready to contribute?
