How will FRC 2021 be structured?
- FRC 2021 will have 6 plenary sessions on September 13th and 14th. Each will have short talks, features, and questions and answer periods.
- FRC 2021 will also consist of CAFC Committee Open Houses. As part of FRC 2021, each Committee welcomes all members of the association to a designated meeting, hosts guests speakers, and will facilitate topic specific discussions. Dates are below.
What will be my takeaways from FRC 2021?
FRC 2021 will be what you make of it, but if you follow along you will:
- Meet amazing fire chiefs from across the country who are willing to share and discuss ideas
- Learn more about how to support yourself and others on mental health issues
- Help create Truth and Reconciliation Committed fire department
- Understand the economic impact of fire departments and gain insights on quality and interoperability
- Learn about EDI practices that could be implemented at your department
- Partake in open houses and great talks on Interoperability, Building Codes, Mental Health, Drones, Dangerous Goods, Social Media, Data and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, with more to come!
Will FRC 2021 be in English and in French?
For 2021, we will be translating all speaker materials so that they are available in both official languages. We will endeavour to have both English and French Masters of Ceremonies. In the registration you will be able to signal if you require,
do not require, or simply prefer simultaneous translation. We will then make the determination based on demand and registration.
