Senate Standing Committee on Agriculture: Remarks on Bill S-222 

Bill S-222, in the context of federal properties and public works, would require that the Minister consider any potential reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and any other environmental benefits and may allow the use of wood or any other material, product or sustainable resource — that achieves such benefits. This sounds good, but it does open the door to a number of issues. Read more here.
