Every year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) members in good standing have the opportunity to propose a policy resolution. These policy resolutions influence our advocacy.

The below is a list of resolution topics with resolutions within them. Some resolutions are completed, work in progress, modified or withdrawn.  The list was updated in Jun 2025.

We would like to thank all the Chiefs over the years who have submitted policy resolutions, as well as all the Chiefs who have worked to move them forward and who keep them up to date.

The next opportunity to submit a resolution for debate will be at the AGM at the Fire-Rescue Canada 2025 this September.
