The CAFC’s next Ask The Lawyers session is on June 18th at 12PM EST.

There’s still time to submit questions from all department types (Volunteer, Union, etc.) by May 27th. No matter how big or small the question - we look forward to the Ask.

Did you miss our second session in April? We took a deep dive into social media policies, aging firefighters and contracting out bargaining unit work, followed by a round table questions and answers period.

With respect to less than 4 FF on a truck: If the FPPA 1997 under Part II 2(b) Municipal Responsibilities allows Council (Municipality) to "...provide such fire protection services as it deems necessary in accordance with its needs and circumstances" - the level of service for their respective community. Would there be benefit for 'the fire service' work to lobby creating an amendment to the regulation? (
