The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC), in collaboration with the National Advisory Council (NAC), its Answer the Call committee and the Data committee, are excited to announce that the 2024 Great Canadian Fire Census data collection has started! Thank you for submitting your data into Census 2022. You can view  here how your data was used.

Starting on May 2 and until the extended deadline of June 14, 2023, we are asking you to provide us with your departmental data as at April 30, 2024 or the last 12 months reporting available. We’d like only 1 response per department.

All departments who submit data will be entered in a weekly prize draw ($100 cash prizes, FRC registration, and more). Those who have already submitted their data remain eligible for each draw. The earlier you submit, the more chances of winning you will have. Winners will be announced weekly.

How to Submit your data:

• You will see below a login window for the Census below these instructions. Enter your login information.
  • Username: Your username is the email you used when you submitted your data in 2022.
  • Password: Use the password that you created when you submitted your data in 2022. If you don't remember your password, please click on 'Reset Password'
    
• If you have any issues with your login information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to atherrien@cafc.ca.
• The first part will ask you to update your data from 2022.
  
• The next section of the survey contains new questions from 2023 and 2024. Most of the questions are select one or all that apply. Please complete each question.
• Each section will be on its own page which you will be able to navigate by clicking on 'continue' at the bottom.
• Please allow a few seconds for the next page of the census questionnaire to load on your computer. 
• Make sure that your cursor is on the questionnaire when scrolling down so that you can view all the questions. 
  
• Once all your data has been filled out, click on the red “continue” button at the bottom of the page.You may also use the 'continue' buttons on each page to save your work and return at a later time. To continue filling out your data, simply return here and login using your username and password.
