The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC), in collaboration with the National Advisory Council (NAC), its Answer the Call committee and the Data committee, are excited to announce that the 2025 Great Canadian Fire Census data collection has started! Thank you for submitting your data into Census 2023. You can view  here how your data was used.

Starting on May 12 and until the extended deadline of July 24, 2025, we are asking you to provide us with your departmental data as at April 30, 2025 or the last 12 month reporting available. We’d like only 1 response per department.

All departments who submit data will be entered in a weekly prize draw ($100 cash prizes, FRC registration, and more). Those who have already submitted their data remain eligible for each draw. The earlier you submit, the more chances of winning you will have. Winners will be announced weekly.

How to Submit your data:

• You will see below a login window for the Census below these instructions. Enter your login information.
  • Username: Your username is the email you used when you submitted your data in 2023.
  • Password: Use the password that you used/created when you submitted your data in 2023. If you don't remember your password, please click on 'Reset Password'
    
• If you have any issues with your login information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to atherrien@cafc.ca.
• The first section will ask you to update the data that you submitted in 2023.
  
• The next section of the survey contains new questions from 2024 and 2025. Most of questions are select one or all that apply. Please complete each question.
• Each section will be on its own page which you will be able to navigate by clicking on 'continue' at the bottom.
• Please allow a few seconds for the next page of the census questionnaire to load on your computer. 
• Make sure that your cursor is on the questionnaire when scrolling down so that you can view all the questions. 
  
• Once all your data has been filled out, click on the red “continue” button at the bottom of the page.You may also use the 'continue' buttons on each page to save your work and return at a later time. To continue filling out your data, simply return here and login using your username and password.
