Ken McMullen
President

Chief Ken McMullen joined the Fire Service in 1997 as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and progressed through the Officer rolls of Training, Fire Prevention and Fire Safety, as well as a certified Fire Investigator/Inspector. As a certified Fire Investigator
and Inspector, he conducted over 500 investigations in a 6 year period and was involved in over 55 fire fatality investigations. In 2009, Ken became the Assistant Deputy Chief with the Calgary Fire Department,
and in 2018, the Chief of Emergency Services with The City of Red Deer. As the third largest municipality in Alberta, Red Deer Emergency Services is one of the few remaining fully integrated services comprising of 230 staff of Fire Fighter
Paramedics, Dispatchers, Fire Prevention Officers, and Administration. Between 2019-2022, Ken served as the Vice President for the CAFC and has been an active board member since 2014. Ken has also served as the Canadian Division Director
for the International Association of Fire Chiefs where he continues to collaborate on legislative changes and advocacy initiatives that pertain to the Fire Service. Ken is an active member of CANADA Task Force 2,
and during his tenure he has been deployed to the Slave Lake Fire in 2010, the Calgary Floods in 2013, and as the Task Force Commander to the Wild Fires in Fort McMurray in 2016 and most recently, the Yukon Floods of 2021. Recently Ken
was bestowed the honour of Career Fire Chief of the Year for 2020 and received the prestigious IAFC President’s Award in 2022, for his unrelenting advocacy work on mental health support for first responders. He has a Bachelor
of Applied Business in Emergency Services from Lakeland College and completed National Preparedness Leadership program from Harvard University in 2019. He has also achieved the Executive Chief Fire Officer (ECFO), Chief Fire Officer (CFO)
and MIFire designations.
Trevor Brice

Okotoks Fire & Rescue

Fire Chief Trevor Brice is a seasoned Fire Service leader with over 40 years’ experience in all aspects of leading career and combination fire departments. Trevor became a full time firefighter in 1983 and progressed through the ranks in a number of UK
Fire & Rescue Services until immigrating to Canada in 2010.
Trevor served in five Fire & Rescue Services in the UK, Deputy Chief of Operations Regina Fire & Protective Services after moving to Canada.
A move to Alberta in 2014 as the Chief Fire Administrator and later Deputy Fire Commissionaire for the Government of Alberta (GOA). Having moved back to Saskatchewan Trevor took up the role of Fire Chief Director of Protective Services
in North Battleford before taking up his current role in 2020 as Fire Chief, Director of Emergency Management for the Town of Okotoks. His career has given him a broad experience of Fire suppression and incident command with experience
in, Safety Codes, Fire Investigations, Public Education, Occupational Health and Safety, Training, and Emergency Management.
Trevor is involved at provincial and national levels on various committees. A member of the Institution
of Fire Engineers (IFE) since 1983, and the honorable secretary for the Canada branch. CAFC committee work has included being a long standing member of the ECFO committee and more recently the Equality Diversity and Inclusion and the leadership
committees. Provincially he is the secretary treasurer and Director at large, Urban Municipalities of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association.
Trevor Holds a number of professional designations, Executive Chief Fire Officer
(ECFO), Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Centre for Public Safety Excellence and is a certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP). Trevor supplemented his industry qualifications with two master’s degrees, Master of Arts in Leadership
program at Royal Roads University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In 2020 he was recognized by the Institution of Fire Engineers becoming a Fellow (FIFireE) and awarded the Queens Elizabeth 2nd Platinum Jubilee medal.
Paul Boissonneault

Chief Boissonneault is Chief of the Oakville Fire Department and has previously served The County of Brant, DND Borden, & Adjala-Tosorontio Departments in Ontario. He has benefitted greatly from opportunities & experiences as a Chief Officer since
2004 in volunteer, composite and career departments through all ranks. He is a proud recipient of the Queens Diamond Jubilee medal and Canadian Fire Services exemplary services medal.
One of his greatest honours was serving as a CAFC President from 2014-2016 and having the membership’s elected trust for the Executive Board from 2009-2016. Committee work has included government relations, labor relations, fire
and life safety, and the membership committee as a co-chair to name a few. He has represented the CAFC internationally in Belgium, Ireland, Australia, the United States and all across Canada, been involved with advocacy and change for
the CAFC for many years and is back to support the Board and Association once again.
Greg Jones

Amherst Fire Department

Greg Jones is currently the full-time Fire Chief / Director of Fire Services of the Amherst Fire Department in Nova Scotia for the past 9 years. He has been a firefighter for 22 years and has served in numerous positions within the department. Chief Jones
has achieved the Certificate of Incident Command, the Certificate of Fire Service Leadership, and the Certificate of Fire Service Administration with a concentration in strategic planning from Dalhousie university; and has attained both
the Executive Chief Fire Officer designation from the Canadian Association of Fire Chief’s and the Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator designation from the National Association of Fire Investigators.
He has served as the Nova Scotia representative on the National Advisory Council and is a member on the Executive Chief Officer Council (ECFO) and the Answer the call committees of the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs. Within
Atlantic Canada, he serves on numerous associations, including the position of President of the Fire Service Association of Nova Scotia, an executive member of the Maritime Fire Chiefs Association, and a board member on the Fire Inspectors
Association of Nova Scotia.
Keri Martens

Banff Fire Department

Keri Martens has been involved in the fire service for the past 20 years. Originally starting her career as a paid responder with the Lake Louise Fire Department in Alberta in 1999. Over her 18 years in Lake Louise she rose to the rank of Chief, a position
she held for 15 years. In March 2018 Keri made the move to Canmore Fire Rescue in the position of Deputy Chief. Canmore Fire Rescue is a composite department made up of paid response and IAFF firefighters.
In 2017, Keri was honored to be elected to the Board of Directors for the CAFC. Over the past two years she has developed a stronger appreciation and awareness of the issues that face the Canadian Fire Service. While all individual
services are different, many of the challenges faced are the same coast to coast to coast.
Keri continues to work towards furthering Diversity and Inclusion within the Fire Service. In Alberta she is one of the founding members of Alberta Fire Emergency Management Wildfire Management Women (A FEW Women). Nationally work
continues as a co-chair of CAFC’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Women Fire Chief and Company Officers Network.
In 2019 was chosen as one of 15 Fellows for the iDELP Diversity Executive Leadership Program. A program developed through the International Association of Fire Chiefs to promote diversity and inclusion in the fire service. As part
of this commitment, Keri also looks forward to sitting on the IAFC’s Wildland Fire Policy Committee.
Chantal Bibeau

Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal

Since 2021, Chantal Bibeau has held the position of Deputy Fire chief at the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal, with a career spanning 34 years dedicated to fire safety. Upon joining the Canadian Association of fire chiefs, Chantal
Bibeau proposed the creation of the first Fire Prevention Committee, demonstrating a commitment to making prevention a key priority for fire safety services. Chantal Bibeau had the honor of representing Quebec on the National
Advisory Council of the CAFC, after serving as Vice President - Prevention of the Association of Fire Safety Managers of Quebec (AGSICQ) from 2016 to 2022. Additionally, she served as a board member of the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec,
further solidifying a role as a leader in promoting fire safety . Joining the CAFC Board of Directors, Chantal Bibeau aims to elevate the importance of promoting and integrating fire prevention into daily actions. These efforts
are intended to save the lives of citizens as well as firefighters, who are often affected by cancers related to their profession. Her motto is: “The best way to fight a fire is to prevent it,” and Chantal Bibeau's contribution and voice
will carry this message.
Ken Uzeloc

Protective Services Director/Fire Chief
Kamloops Fire Rescue

Ken Uzeloc is the Protective Services Director/Fire Chief for the City of Kamloops B.C. starting as Chief in August of 2022. Ken has 35 years’ experience in the fire service starting as a volunteer in Warfield, BC and then 32 ½ years with
Calgary Fire. Ken was active on several specialty teams including aquatics, high angle, and hazardous materials. He specialized in several areas including terrorism response and teaching emergency services across Canada as part of the
Public Safety Canada National terrorism program. Ken moved into management starting as an assistant deputy chief and spending his last 14 years in Calgary as a deputy chief. Ken worked in several portfolios at Calgary Fire including executive
officer to the chief which led to being interim chief and director of emergency management in 2014.
Ken believes in giving back to the profession and as such participates on several industry associations and working committees. Ken is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs
and Fire Chiefs’ Association of BC. He sits on the Executive Fire Officers section of IAFC as the Canadian Director and has sat on the CAFC Fire Prevention & Emergency Preparedness and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion committees.
Ken co-chairs the Dangerous Goods, Industry & Infrastructure committee and is a principal member on the NFPA 470 (Hazardous Materials) Technical Committee for CAFC. Ken has a bachelor’s degree in applied business: emergency services
and designations as an Executive Chief Fire Officer and an Executive Fire Officer.
Jason Whiteley

North Bay Fire & Emergency Services

Jason Whiteley was appointed Fire Chief of North Bay Fire and Emergency Services in September of 2016, and has more than 35 years of fire service experience in the management of fire operations, including business administration, emergency
management and response, fire prevention and education. Jason has many certifications and post-secondary education including Fire Protection Engineering, Ambulance and Emergency Care, Municipal Management diploma and Human Resource and
Employment Law certificate, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Mental Health Leadership and political science. Jason is Director and former vice-president of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs. He is currently the chair
of the National Advisory Council for the CAFC and a board member. Jason has also represented the fire service on several provincial, national, and international committees and organizations. Prior to being appointed Fire
Chief for North Bay, Jason was the Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Woodstock and before that he was the Deputy Fire Chief of Norfolk County. Jason began his career as volunteer firefighter with the City of Burlington Fire Department;
then spent 16 years with Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services with various roles and responsibilities before moving into the management ranks.
