Cameron (Cam) Abrey; ECFO, CCFI-C, is the current full-time Fire Chief for the Dauphin Fire Department, a paid-call (volunteer) department located in Dauphin, MB. A second generation fire fighter and a 24 year member of the fire service, Chief Abrey is also the current President of the Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs (MAFC) and a casual instructor for the Manitoba Emergency Services College (MESC). He is an advocate in the Province of Manitoba for occupational illnesses in emergency services and in 2015, had the opportunity to speak before the Manitoba Legislative Standing Committee regarding presumptive legislation for post traumatic stress disorder. Chief Abrey has had several procedures over the since 2016 for melanoma, the most serious being Stage 2B, and therefore advocates the importance of early detection and regular screening processes.
