Rob re-joined the BC Wildfire Service in 2016 and currently holds the position of Executive Director.  He is a Registered Forest Technologist with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia and has worked in the Ministry of Forests since 1991. Prior to returning to the BC Wildfire Service, Rob held positions throughout the province in several divisions such as Engineering and BC Timber Sales before moving into a management position in Kamloops in 2010. His combined 35 years in wildfire and natural resource management brings a diverse view towards the challenges society faces in living with the new reality of catastrophic wildfires. Rob has supported his program in the adoption of greater mental health services as well as a strong focus on exposure research for wildland fire fighters.
