Overview

For over 20 years, the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) has hosted its national conference, Fire Rescue Canada (FRC). This national conference gives fire chiefs from across the country, many of whom are also emergency managers, the opportunity to convene for educational and networking purposes.

This is a niche conference intended to facilitate and foster relationship building across the sector. The planning committee makes an effort to ensure relevance to all department types from large metro to small rural, from career to composite to volunteer.

For those not familiar with FRC, during this event we host our annual general meeting, our awards gala, and take the time to catch up with each other. We hear new topics both from within the membership, and from guests who may be politicians, journalists, researchers, clinicians, policy experts, musicians, artists, athletes among others. Some discussions result in resolutions, ideas and programs that show up in the next year’s operating plan.

Registration Categories

General Admission: This ticket is available for all conference attendees. Remember the price goes up on August 11!

General Admission and Women Chiefs and Company Officers Meeting Admission: This special registration includes full access to the Fire Rescue Canada conference, meals, events, gala and fun night, as well as a special meeting for women Chiefs and Company Officers on Sunday, Sept 17

Companion Admission: Companions can be registered for FRC through this single ticket, which includes admission to Fun Night (1), the Gala (1), two Companion Breakfast Sessions, one Reception Ticket (1) and all Hospitality Suites Tickets.

Sponsor/Exhibitor Admission: CAFC has already registered sponsor and exhibitors who's names were provided on the sponsor and exhibitor form. Additional sponsors or exhibitor registrants can access a special discount through this ticket. 

Speaker Admission: Speaker teams receive one free registration. The speaker team will determine who will use this ticket. All other speakers on the team should use the General Admission Registration Category.

• Fire Rescue Canada consists of opening ceremonies and reception, Sunday September 17.
• Two and a half full days of plenaries and break-outs, with topics that range from current practice issues to the future of the fire service, leadership to resource and policy challenges, health and wellness to service planning.
• The event also includes a companions program, government relations training, and a women chiefs and company officers meeting.
• Networking events occur each day, and include a trade show floor, a fun night, awards gala, hospitality suites and breakfasts.
