Residential Sprinkler Systems
Share |

The CAFC and its members believe that sprinkler systems save lives. We’d like to see them in all new buildings. We are working actively at the national level to encourage changes to the National Building Code to require mandatory residential fire sprinklers.

CAFC has been active in the media in this regard:

CAFC is also pleased to support the National Fire Protection Association's Fire Sprinkler Initiative, the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition - Canada, and Hope Fire Sprinkler Day.

  • Home Fire Sprinkler Day is a new initiative of NFPA; it tasks fire sprinkler advocates with hosting events that promote home fire sprinklers. These events are aimed at raising awareness of this life-saving technology while breaking down the myths to the use of home fire sprinklers. Departments across Canada have already committed to hosting side-by-side burns, open houses and sprinkler advocacy programs. The CAFC encourages departments to participate in this national initiative.
