CAFC submits brief to the Minister of Finance Let’s Talk Budget 2022 consultation

Five years ago, Fort McMurray was the most expensive fire in insurance history. In the past 1,000 days, four events have exceeded it. To believe that the fire service of the past will meet the human, social and financial needs of the future would be a serious mistake.

In this submission we offer recommendations to address this.

Il y a cinq ans, Fort McMurray constituait l'incendie le plus coûteux de l'histoire de l'assurance. Au cours des 1 000 derniers jours, quatre événements en ont dépassé l’ampleur. Croire que le service d'incendie du passé répondra aux besoins humains, sociaux et financiers de l'avenir serait une grave erreur.
