The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC), in collaboration with the National Advisory Council (NAC), its Answer the Call committee and the Data committee, are excited to announce that the 2024 Great Canadian Fire Census data collection has started!

Starting on May 2 and until the extended deadline of June 14, 2024, we are asking you to provide us with your departmental data as at April 30, 2024 are the last 12 months reporting cycle. We’d like only 1 response per department.

All departments who submit data will be entered in a weekly prize draws ($100 cash prizes, FRC registration, and more). Those who have already submitted their data remain eligible for each draw. The earlier you submit, the more chances of winning you will have. Winners will be announced weekly.

Instructions:

In the Census questionnaire below:

• Enter your login information.
  • Username: Your username is the email you used when you submitted your data in 2021.
  • Password: As you are updating your data for the first time, please click on  "Click here to create a new password".  This will become your password if you need to make any changes to your data in the future.
    
• If you have any issues with your login information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to atherrien@cafc.ca
• Once you login, you will see the data that you submitted in 2021. If anything has changed, you can update it. Once it is updated, or if no changes are necessary, you can navigate to the next sections by clicking on 'continue' at the bottom of the page.
• Please allow a few seconds for the next page of the census questionnaire to load on your computer. 
  
• The next section of the survey contains new data elements both from 2022, 2023 and 2024. Please complete each question.
• Once all your data has been filled out, click on the red “continue” button at the bottom of the page.

If you would like to view the complete questionnaire for discussion, you can download a copy here . However, you must submit online as we don't have that capacity on our end.
