Fire-Rescue Canada 2022

Join us September 11th to 14th at the Delta Hotel in Ottawa!

Background

For over 20 years, the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) has hosted its national conference, Fire Rescue Canada (FRC). This national conference gives fire chiefs from across the country, many of whom are also emergency managers, the opportunity to convene for educational and networking purposes.

This is a niche conference intended to facilitate and foster long term national relationship building across the sector. The planning committee makes an effort to ensure relevance to all department types from large metro to small rural, from career to composite to volunteer.

To facilitate attendance and also to support our friends at the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial, we have placed FRC 2022 at the tail end of the Memorial event and at the same venue, so that people coming to one can stay for the other.

For those not familiar with FRC, during this event we host our annual general meeting, our awards gala, and take the time to catch up with each other. We hear new topics both from within the membership, and from guests who may be politicians, journalists, researchers, clinicians, policy experts, musicians, artists, athletes among others. Some discussions result in resolutions, ideas and programs that show up in the next year’s operating plan.

We also facilitate an opportunity for our partners in industry to interact with us and showcase the best of their products and services.

Registration

The registration for Fire Rescue Canada 2022 is now available here. The fees to attend FRC are $500.00 for members in good standing, and $800.00 for non-members. Program

The program for Fire Rescue Canada begins with an opening reception the evening of September 11, 2022, which is the same day as the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony happening earlier. We encourage you to attend the Ceremony and check out other CFFF events happening that weekend (www.cfff.ca).  We will then have plenaries, 10-15 break-out sessions, a sponsor and exhibitor hall, a gala, awards night and  social events all occurring September 12 and 13. There will be a closing breakfast session on September 14, 2022.  A panel of fire chiefs is currently reviewing the speaker applications to determine the program.
