About the Session
The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs Dangerous Goods Committee, in partnership with Transport Canada, hosted a special webinar to provide more information on the following programs:
The Canadian Emergency Response to Flammable Liquid Incidents in Transport (CERFLIT), which is a series of online courses, resources, and support materials for face-to-face training. The curriculum and materials have been designed to help communities, and firefighters at every level, become better prepared to manage an incident involving flammable liquids being transported by road or rail. In being better prepared we keep first responders, the public, and communities safer in the event of a flammable liquid incident occurring on a roadway or railway in Canada.
The Medium & Heavy-Duty Zero Emissions Vehicles (MHZEV) Report, which assesses the information and training available to the fire service in light of the fire safety issues with new technologies that need to be considered as these vehicles are deployed in Canada.
The MHZEV Regulatory Development Process: the Transport Canada team will discuss the MHZEV regulatory development process and the proposed regulations specific to zero emissions and hydrogen cell vehicles.
Watch the webinar below learn more about these two resources, how to access them, and find out about any questions asked.
